Very good dog joins Sen. Sherrod Brown on stage for his victory speech
When Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) took the stage Tuesday night to celebrate his re-election, he was joined by his family, which included his campaign's real star: his rescue dog Franklin.
While Franklin has been a part of Brown's social media presence for years, the pooch stepped things up on behalf of Brown in 2018 as the campaign's "Manager of Morale." He's become a breakout star thanks to frequent appearances throughout Brown's campaign, including recent ads.

Franklin's even been featured on some of Brown's campaign merch, like this coffee mug, and even got a shoutout from the Democrats' main Twitter account following Brown's win on Tuesday night.

While Brown has been mentioned as a possible 2020 Trump challenger in the past -- he denied it recently but certainly made a reference to 2020 during his victory speech Tuesday -- it remains to be seen if Franklin would be chosen as Brown's running mate.
